Srinagar, Aug 26: Mobile and internet services were badly hit across Jammu and Srinagar on Monday following multiple fibre cuts, officials said.
They said that calls were not going through while mobile internet remained disrupted across all service providers. “Technical teams have been despatched to locate the faults and rectify them,” they added.
Officials said even BSNL’s landline and fibre services went down, leaving people without connectivity as mobiles showed no signals.
Telecom operators termed it a major network issue due to fibre cuts at various locations, including Jammu and Srinagar. They said restoration work is underway and services will be resumed at the earliest possible, adding that parts of Himachal also faced similar disruption.
